As Crypto is not a standalone category this data has been pulled via a manual search of the systems, and therefore we cannot be 100% sure that that all campaigns have been captured, but this is as accurate reflection as possible of what has run on the TfL estate according to our records.
Furthermore, please could you provide me with the total amount spent on advertisements by cryptocurrency companies for each year between 2019 and the present day. I do not need a company breakdown of this data, which may be exempt under section 43(2) – prejudice to commercial interests.
We do not hold this information. Cryptocurrency is not a category that our media partner stores campaigns under; the revenue for these campaigns is recorded under the broader category ‘Finance’, and we do not hold a breakdown of this which would be required to answer your question.
Please note that following a decision by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in 2020,the companies would already need to be approved and registered by the FCA as complying with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Finance and Transfer of Funds Regulations 2017. We ask that the advertiser provides proof of this, or of any exemptions if applicable, before they are able to advertise on our network.
If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
