Amend or refund a driving charge

You can amend or apply for a refund for some Congestion Charges, Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels charges, Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charges and Low Emission Zone (LEZ) charges.

You can: 

  • Request a refund for a group of days in the future (all schemes) 
  • Amend charges for today and future dates (all schemes) 
  • Request a LEZ charge refund for today or future dates 

We cannot refund single day charges for Congestion Charge or ULEZ, or individual crossing charges for Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels.   

You can only amend one Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels charge at a time. To amend another crossing charge, you'll need to finish this change and start again.

If you have a Congestion Charge residents' discount or East London low income residents' discount, you'll need to sign into your account to change your discounted vehicle.

Before you start

It costs £2.50 to amend and £10 to refund a Congestion Charge or ULEZ charge. There is no cost to amend a Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels charge or refund a LEZ charge. 

You'll need:

  • Your receipt number
  • The start date of the charge
  • The number plate (Vehicle Registration Mark) of the vehicle you have paid for
  • A debit or credit card to pay
