Planned line closures & service changes
If there are any changes to the programme, this document will be updated.
For planned station changes see Stations, lifts and escalator works.
DLR upgrade work
We'll do everything we can to minimise disruption to customers, but on some weekends we'll need to close sections of the railway to finish the DLR upgrade work.
Alternative travel arrangements
When stations are closed or step-free access is unavailable due to pre-planned engineering works, we will suggest other ways you can travel. These could include other rail services or local buses.
Check before you travel using our TfL Go app or Journey Planner.
Rail replacement bus services
We will provide rail replacement buses when stations are closed (inaccessible) due to planned engineering works if there are no reasonable alternative public transport routes.
Rail replacement buses will comply with the Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR).
Most rail replacement bus services use the same vehicles and drivers as our regular bus services. Most London bus drivers are regularly contracted TfL drivers who receive accessibility training including Disability Equality Training.
Occasionally, drivers may be casual and agency staff. These drivers are trained on the vehicles they will be driving including training on the vehicles' accessibility features and deploying the ramp.
