We aim to continue expanding the capital's cycle network - connecting different areas across the city - so that it reaches a third of Londoners by 2025.

Our cycle map shows open and proposed cycle routes, as well as Santander Cycle docking stations across London.
We're still in the process of rebranding all former Cycle Superhighways and Quietways as Cycleways - this means that for now they might show on our map with their old names.

Using a Cycleway
Always follow the rules of the road, travel safely and follow safety instructions.
Some Cycleways have two-way cycle lanes and shared bus boarding areas designed to improve your safety while you cycle. For more on these features, plus tips on how to ride safely, go to our Cycling safety page.
Future Cycleways
Development of future Cycleways includes these routes:
Battersea Park Road
Walking and cycling changes in the area would connect to Cycleway 8. We consulted on this route in early 2022.
Wembley and Willesden Junction
We're working with the London Borough of Brent on plans for a new Cycleway. This is part of our Healthy Streets improvements between Wembley and Willesden.
Camden and Tottenham Hale
A 12km route connecting Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters and the Nag's head. Some parts of this proposed route are under construction as part of Cycleway 50 - find out more on the Camden to Finsbury Park walking and cycling changes page.
Hackney and Isle of Dogs
A 7.5km route connecting Hackney to the Isle of Dogs via Westferry, Mile End and Victoria Park.
We've consulted on this route.
Greenwich and Woolwich
This route will be part of Cycleway 4, linking Tower Bridge and Woolwich.
West Kensington, Hammersmith, Chiswick and Brentford
This route is called Cycleway 9 (C9).
Brentford to Hounslow
In early 2022 we consulted on an extension of the C9 route to run from Brentford to Hounslow. Find out about our proposals on the Hounslow and Brentford walking and cycling changes page.
In summer 2024 we consulted on updated plans to help people walk and cycle between Brentford and Syon Park. This includes plans to extend C9. In late 2024 we'll publish our report on the consultation (along with responses to the issues most commonly raised) on the Brentford to Syon Park consultation page.
Wood Lane and Shepherd's Bush
This route is a proposed extension to Cycleway 34.
Walking & cycling changes
We made temporary changes in 2020 and 2021 to help people cycle and walk during the pandemic. We're consulting to see if some of these schemes should be made permanent. See more on our consultation site, Have your say.
