Penalty charges for Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels

We may issue a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) if you drive through Blackwall or Silvertown tunnels during charging times and you do not pay the correct charge for every crossing.

You may be issued with a PCN if: 

  • Your vehicle is not exempt or registered for a 100% discount, and you haven't paid the correct charges by midnight on the third day after travelling through the tunnels 
  • You paid the charge for an incorrect number plate (vehicle registration mark), the incorrect day of travel, or you did not pay for all chargeable crossings 

Both UK and non-UK registered vehicles can get PCNs.
