Nimbus Access code for the IFS Cable Car

What it is

The IFS Cloud Cable Car Digital Access Pass is a digital code that you can show to tell our staff what adjustments you need to use the cable car.

It is free for you to register for, receive and use a code.

It shows that you need one of these adjustments to use the cable car:

  • An essential companion/carer ticket, enabling a companion or carer to travel free of charge (you still pay for your own ticket)
  • Priority in the queue
  • Help from staff while you are queuing
  • Urgent toilet access
  • Visual assistance
  • Level access
  • Distance limitations
  • Audible information
  • Other needs

Applying for and using the code

To apply, you need to provide Nimbus Disability with evidence of your needs (by uploading documents). Once these have been checked, you will get a digital code by email.

To use your code, show it at the ticket office at either the IFS Cloud Greenwich Peninsula or IFS Cloud Royal Docks terminals.

The code is valid for 3 years.

Apply for an IFS Cloud Cable Car Digital Access Pass.

If you do not have an Access Card

You do not need to use this scheme to use the IFS Cloud Cable Car. You can ask for help from our staff if you need it, or just use the cable car.

For example, if you travel with an assistance dog or use a wheelchair or a standard mobility scooter, you can just queue at the ticket office and travel on the cable car.

However, the access card scheme can be a useful way of showing your needs or asking for help.

Essential carer/companion tickets

If you need an essential carer/companion ticket, and you don't have an access card, we will ask you to show other proof at the ticket office.

Carers travel free with a paying adult or child and will need to show one of these to travel free:

  • A diagnostic assessment
  • Blue Badge
  • Department of Work and Pensions letter
  • Carer's Card
  • Access Card
  • Other recognised evidence of a disability from a registered health or medical agency

You must buy tickets at the ticket office to receive the concession fare.

Access Card for other organisations

You can also get an Access Card from Nimbus Disability for £15 for 3 years. This can be used with a wide range of UK businesses and ticketing organisations (including the IFS Cloud Cable Car).

For help and support applying for your Access Card, visit the Access Card support page.

Other access needs

You do not need to use this scheme unless you need an essential companion/carer ticket, queue priority or help in the queue.

For example, if you travel with an assistance dog or if you use a wheelchair or standard mobility scooter, you can just queue at the ticket office and travel on the cable car.
